Automatic Notices Sent to Helpers
WhenToHelp can be set up to automatically notify Helpers when there is a new
schedule or when their schedule has changed. Each Helper has a Notifications page where they can enter email addresses and text message
addresses and choose what events trigger a notice sent to each address.
(Coordinators with permission to edit Helpers can also view and set up these
notifications for Helpers from the Helper
details page.)
The default when adding an email address includes receiving notifications when Coordinators publish or change published shift adds to tradeboard, or sends them a message. Email notifications sent to Helpers that include specific schedule data also include a confirmation link that the Helper can click to confirm receipt of the email notification change. You can stop automatic notifications from being sent out when Publishing & Unpublishing by changing that option on your SETTINGS "Info & Settings" tab. This option can be turned on and off and at any time and the change goes into effect immediately. Stopping Notices when Changing Shifts on a Published Schedule If you have a lot of changes to make to a Published schedule you might consider UnPublishing that schedule, making the changes, then Publishing again.
