E-Mail & Text Message Notifications

When a Helper's e-mail address is entered the default Notifications send an email when Coordinator publishes a schedule or makes changes to a published shift.

Helpers can log in and add other email and text message addresses and check off what events trigger a notification to each address.

Coordinators (with permission to edit Helpers) can also edit the Helper notifications from the Edit Helper page.

To review/edit a Helper's notifications:
From any page
  • In the top menu click Helpers to go to the Helper list page
  • Click on the email address of the Helper to open the View Helper Notifications window (1.)
  • Click the Select/Add Notifications next to the email address (2.) or to add a new address click one of the Add New Address links to open the Notification Address Settings window
  • Enter the email or text message address and check the box next to "Use as Reply To" address if you want individuals to be able to reply to your messages directly to your email.. Only one email address can be set as the "Reply To" address. Note Many of these options can result in a high volume of emails or text messages. Normally Helpers should sign in and set up their own text notifications because they can result in the Helper being charged fees by their cell phone carrier for each text message received.
  • Set whether it is an email or text message address (text message addresses receive shorter messages and require verification before going into effect)
  • Check off which notifications you want the Helper to receive
  • Click the Save button
